❓ Dashboard Guide

πŸ“… Federal ADA Deadline

Shows the countdown to April 24, 2026 β€” the federal deadline for ADA Title II web compliance. The progress bar shows your overall compliance readiness based on your site's score and the percentage of clean pages.

🎯 Compliance Score & Metrics

The score ring shows your site's average accessibility score (0–100) with a letter grade (A–F). The four metric cards show: Pages Scanned = total pages analyzed, Total Issues = all accessibility violations found, Failed Pages = pages that couldn't be scanned due to timeouts or errors (click to view and rescan), Clean Pages = pages with zero issues (click to view).

⏳ Scan Progress

Appears while a scan is actively running. Shows how many pages have been scanned out of the total discovered. The dashboard auto-refreshes every 5 seconds during active scans and every 30 seconds when idle so you can watch progress live. You can safely navigate away β€” the scan continues in the background.

πŸ”§ Quick Wins Summary

Quick Fixes Available = common, well-known issues (missing alt text, color contrast, missing labels) that are the easiest to fix for maximum score improvement.
Pages With Issues = how many pages have at least one violation.
#1 Priority Issue = the single most common violation across your entire site.

πŸ’₯ Issue Impact Analysis

Ranks the top issues by what % of your total problems they represent. If one issue accounts for 90% of violations, fixing it first gives the biggest return. Includes WCAG criteria mappings and a key insight callout.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Remediation Roadmap

A step-by-step action plan showing what to fix in what order, with WCAG references and cumulative impact β€” so you can see "fixing issues 1–3 resolves 95% of all problems."

πŸ“„ New Pages / βœ… Fixed Pages / 🚨 Needs Attention

New Pages β€” Pages discovered since the last scan.
Fixed Pages β€” Pages that previously had issues but are now clean.
Needs Attention β€” Pages with the most critical issues. Click any page to see its full issue list.

πŸ“ˆ Compliance Trend

Line chart tracking how your score and issue count change over time across scans. Shows improvement progress at a glance.

🎯 Top Issues to Fix

The most common accessibility violations ranked by frequency. Each shows the WCAG criterion and how many pages are affected. Click any issue to see which pages have the problem.

πŸ“Š Grade Distribution

Breaks pages into letter grades (A–F) with counts and percentages. Lots of A's and F's with nothing in between means template-level issues are dragging whole sections down β€” fix the template once and hundreds of pages improve.

πŸ₯ Page Health Distribution

Color-coded bar: Excellent (0 issues), Good (1–5), Needs Work (6–15), Poor (16–30), Critical (30+). Goal: make the green segment as large as possible.

πŸ“ Section Breakdown

Groups pages by content type (Documents, Forms, Agendas, etc). Each card shows the section score, total issues, and clean vs. needs-fixes count. Click any section to drill down into its pages and export.

πŸ“Έ Scan History (Snapshots)

Every completed scan is automatically saved as a snapshot. You can also manually save one with the "Save Snapshot" button. Snapshots let you track progress over time β€” select two snapshots from the dropdowns and hit "Compare" to see the score change, issues fixed, and pages added between scans.

πŸ“€ Export & Print

Use the Export dropdown to download: Summary CSV, All Pages, All Issues, Full JSON, VPAT Report (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template), or the Executive Summary β€” a printable one-page report for management and budget meetings. The Print button creates a printer-friendly version of the full dashboard.

οΏ½ PDF Document Scanning

PDFs discovered during the site crawl are listed in the PDF Documents Found section. You can scan individual PDFs by clicking the Scan button, or queue all PDFs at once with Queue All for Scanning. PDF scans check for accessibility issues like missing tags, alt text, reading order, and form labels. Results appear in a modal with score, issues, and page-by-page details.

πŸ› οΈ Fix Suggestions

When scan data is available, the Fix Suggestions section shows actionable code examples for each issue type. Issues are categorized by effort level (trivial, low, medium, high) and include WCAG references, affected page counts, and estimated fix time.

πŸŒ— Theme & Display

Click the theme toggle button (β˜€οΈ/◐) in the header to switch between dark mode and light mode. Your preference is saved automatically.

πŸ“Š Grade Scale

Letter grades are assigned based on the page's accessibility score: A = 90–100 (Excellent), B = 80–89 (Good), C = 70–79 (Needs Improvement), D = 60–69 (Poor), F = 0–59 (Failing). The goal is to get all pages to a B or above for solid ADA compliance.

οΏ½πŸ”„ Navigation

Use the Scanner button to go to the Full Site Audit page to start a new crawl. Click the LIVE indicator to manually refresh all dashboard data. Navigating between pages will never stop an active scan β€” scans run on the server and continue in the background.
